Cast sterling silver and turquoise female Yei pin. The artist's hallmark is "JB". "Sterling" is stamped above it. In Navajo culture, the Yei are benevolent beings associated with healing and power. Female Yei have square heads, and male Yei have round heads. This pin features an oval 8mm turquoise stone in its center. The pin measures 1 1/8" tall by 2" wide. It is in good condition.
