Collectible 1950-60 era Patania Thunderbird Shop sterling silver and turquoise concho belt. The buckle is rectangular and is a repousse silver design. There are 4 turquoise stones set on the buckle. The size of the buckle is 2 3/4" x 2 1/4". A brown leather belt which is 1" wide is attached. The leather is 34" long. Nine oval conchos are strung on the leather. The conchos are 3"x 2 1/8". There is a repousse 6 petal flower design on each concho with a turquoise in the center. The belt has some dents from being worn. There are 3 cracked stones. The stones are intact and the original stones. This family has been known in Tucson for their jewelry skills for at least 3 generations. Owning this belt is owning a piece of Tucson's history.
