Early Bernard Dawahoya Sterling Silver Wave-and-Cloud Cuff Bracelet
Early Bernard Dawahoya sterling silver wave-and-cloud cuff bracelet. The artist's hallmark is a snow cloud symbol. The Hopicrafts shop mark next to it indicates this is one of Dawahoya's earlier pieces. The late Bernard Dewahoya is one of the most celebrated Hopi artists, declared an Arizona Indian Living Treasure in 1989. This bracelet's overlay design features a repeating wave with a raincloud at the tip. The silver has a beautiful natural patina. The cuff is 1 7/16" wide. It weighs 77 grams. The inside measurement of the bracelet is 5 7/8" and there is an additional 1 1/4" gap. This cuff bracelet is in good condition.
