Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Turtle Pendant with Overlay Kokopelli Design

Navajo, sterling silver, turquoise, turtle pendant with overlay kokopelli design. The artist's hallmark (A. Mariano) is Alonzo Mariano and is stamped on the back of this piece. "Sterling" and a bear silhouette is stamped above the hallmark. The pendant measures 3 1/8" long, including the hand-stamped bail, by 1 1/2" long. The pendant features a hollow, domed, closed back disc as the turtle's shell, with a hand-stamped kokopelli figure on the oxidized background. A 7mm long by 5mm wide turquoise stone, set in a sawtooth bezel, is opposite the kokopelli figure.
