Outstanding Large Navajo Sterling Silver Turtle Pin

Outstanding, large, Navajo, sterling silver, turtle pin. The artist's hallmark (BR with pictomark of eagle foot) is Bennie Ration, and is stamped on the back of the piece. "Sterling" is stamped below the hallmark. The pin pendant measures 2 5/16" long by 1 7/8" wide. The pin pendant features beautiful cutout patterns on the shell, over a hollow body. The background is oxidized to show the detail. In the center of the shell is a flattened 10mm bead. The four legs and head have hand-stamped features.
