Sand Cast Hands Naja with Turquoise Stone on Sterling Silver Bead Necklace

Sand Cast Hands Naja with Turquoise Stone on Sterling Silver Bead Necklace

SKU: NECK-918KC-NK-14

Sand cast "hands" naja with a turquoise stone on a sterling silver bead necklace. There is no artist's hallmark. The work appears to be Navajo. The necklace is 26" long, including the shepherd's hook clasp. The naja is 2 1/4" long by 2 7/16" wide. Some sources claim the hands are a symbol of protection derived from the Moors, whose bridle decorations inspired the original Diné (Navajo)  najas. This naja has a 16mm-long turquoise stone on the fleur-de-lis in its center. The naja hangs from the necklace on a hidden bail. The necklace features 12 handmade melon beads alternating with fluted 9mm round beads. This necklace is in good condition. Thank you for shopping in our store, and please feel free to message us with any questions.
