Sterling silver Navajo overlay flying eagle pendant. The artist's hallmark (C. PETERSON) is Calvin Peterson, Navajo 2. The back of this pendant is stamped "Sterling." The pendant is oxidized to produce a deep, dark black color underneath, while the shiny silver design is laid on top, creating a lovely contrast. The oxidation allows the design to pop out and be more distinct from the background. The pendant measures 1 5/16" long, including the bail, by 5/8" wide.
