Vintage southwestern sand cast sterling silver and turquoise naja pendant necklace. Sand cast is a way some Navajo people make jewelry. They make a mold in wet sand shaped like the jewelry they desire to make. Molten silver is poured into the mold. It is cleaned and polished after it has cooled. This naja design is often used in the front of a squash blossom necklace. This naja is 2 13/16" tall plus the ring and bail add 11/16" to the height. The width is 2 1/8". There is no signature. A 32" black cloth cord works as the chain now. You can shorten or replace it as you want. The turquoise is 22 mm X 15 mm. The necklace is in good condition. Thank you for shopping in our store.
